F.A.Q.
Can I use Visualvox with non-Windows machines?
Yes, provided that you have a Windows emulator installed.

Does Visualvox offer video in meeting rooms?
Yes, we offer video through a Flash-based service that integrates seamlessly with the meeting room platform.

Can I record the presentation and voice in a meeting room?
Yes. There several products that allow you to record anything that passes through your sound card. One simple program to use is Total Recorder.

Do you offer private rooms?
Yes, we offer rooms with a private access key just for your participants.

Does the room include a whiteboard?
Yes, Visualvox has the ability to integrate whiteboard functionality.

What is the maximum capacity of a Visualvox meeting room?
The system is scalable and has been tested in live situations with more than 300 simultaneous participants.

Can more than one user speak at a time?
No, only one user can speak at a time by pressing the CTRL key, or in free-hands mode, CTRL-H.

What kind of bandwidth requirement does your system need?
To use voice, you need 20kbps at the most. File transfer takes lower priority than voice, so if you are using voice and have a slow connection, files take longer to transfer, yet the voice quality remains high. For application sharing, a broadband connection is recommended. You can test your bandwidth level at SpeedTest

Does the system work with a satellite-based connection?
Yes, the system can handle the long delays sometimes present in satellite-based connection without interruption in transmission quality.

How to know when a user enters or exits the room?
To play a sound when a user enters or exits your room, you need to place two files into your C:\chatterbox folder. The first one, enter.wav, will play when a user enters the room. The second one, leave.wav, will play when the user leaves the room.

I have used the service but now I cannot enter the room
If your room is active, look for solutions in our manual page on this topic. Otherwise, a message stating that the room is inactive will appear when you try to enter the room.

How can I test my microphone and speakers?

I cannot speak when I press the CTRL key. What can I do?
Sometimes your system might lock the CTRL key. Point the cursor to the microphone image and press the mouse button to talk

The sound in the rooms is not clear
Test the quality of your connection by using
SpeedTest.

Can I use short-cut keys for navigation?
Yes, the system is designed for the visually impaired so it is very easy to use with short-cut keys.
